Ukrainian-Hungarian relations are an example of successful bilateral cooperation in infrastructure,- Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine, stated  during a meeting with the Miklós Seszták, the Minister of National Development of Hungary which took place on February 24, 2017, at the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine. Erno Keshken, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to Ukraine, Voctor Dovhan, Deputy Minister for European integration of the Ministry of infrastructure of Ukraine and representatives of the State Agency of Ukraine roads "Ukravtodor" were also attended the meeting.

Special attention was paid to the development of border infrastructure, joint implementation of infrastructure projects, strengthening cooperation in the railway and road sectors.

The Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine noted that Ukrainian-Hungarian relations are an example of successful bilateral cooperation: "One of the best examples is successful work of the WizzAir airlines. And I hope that we will strengthen cooperation in another sector, particularly in rail and road transport sectors.”

Hungarian side expressed its readiness to help Ukraine to launch high-speed train (200-220 km / h) in the direction of Budapest-Mukachevo, with subsequent extension to the L’viv.

Miklós Seszták, the Minister of National Development of Hungary, invited Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine, to visit Hungary.
