The joint efforts of the government, business and the public will give an impetus to the development of international freight road transportations, - Volodymyr Omelyan
On February 11, 2019, Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine and Leonid Kostyuchenko, the Chairman of the Association of International Road Carriers of Ukraine (ASMAP UA) defined a plan of measures to solve problematic issues in the field of international road transport for 2019. The parties signed a document that defines the joint actions of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety and the Association of International Road Carriers of Ukraine, aimed at the development of international cargo transportations.
The Minister of Infrastructure thanked to the representatives of ASMAP and noted on the importance of the joint teamwork: "The joint efforts of government, business and the public will give an impetus to the development of international freight road transportations", - Volodymyr Omelyan said.
According to the document, the Ministry of Infrastructure will complete the regulatory documents regarding the introduction of a prior electronic reservation of permits and planning their quotas. It is also expected that joint work will stabilize the situation with the permits of the Republic of Poland for international road freight transportations and increasing the quota of permits for Ukrainian road carriers with a number of countries.
The above-mentioned measures should ensure control over the registration and circulation of permits, maximum integration of electronic systems in all processes in order to minimize the impact of government officials on business.
