A new international border crossing point will be opened through the Ukrainian-Romanian state border, - Volodymyr Omelyan
A new international crossing point Orlivka (Ukraine) - Isakcha (Romania) for ferry, passenger and cargo traffic will be opened through the Ukrainian-Romanian state border. The relevant decision was made today during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Volodymyr Omelyan, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine announced the above.
According to him, the new international border crossing point can start to work this summer. It will create conditions for the opening of an appropriate ferry service between Ukraine and Romania adjacent to the Odesa-Reni highway.
"This topic was one of the key issues during my visit to Bucharest at the end of March this year. I am glad that we quickly find a common language with our international partners and effectively cooperate in the development of infrastructure. The completion of the construction of Odesa-Reni highway, along with the opening of the ferry, will create high-quality transport links between Ukraine and Romania", - the head of the Ministry emphasized.
He also said that today the Ukrainian-Romanian transport passenger and freight traffic is carried out through the territory of the Republic of Moldova (the checkpoint Reni (Ukraine) - Giurgiulesti (Republic of Moldova).
