An international high-level event on the development of digital infrastructure took place in Odesa. Among organizers were the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Reform Support Team of the Ministry of Infrastructure and European partners.

Among key speakers were official representatives of the European delegation, European Investment Bank, officials from profile ministries of Kazakhstan, Georgia, Poland and other countries, as well among participants were - Egis, AVISION Robotics, DBA Group, Huawei Technologies and others. The moderator of the discussion was Farid Safarov, Director of the Directorate of Digital Infrastructure for Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The deputy Minister Yuriy Lavrenyuk presented the main steps of the development of digital infrastructure of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

On behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan, Yuriy Lavrenyuk congratulated the participants of the event and noted that in accordance with the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, the Ministry of Infrastructure has already developed and agreed the National Transport Strategy of Ukraine until 2030 (NTSU) and the action plan for its implementation. He also said that one of the priorities of the strategy is the implementation of the digital infrastructure that would provide transparency and better access to information about the transport system.

The Deputy Minister noted that the Ministry of Infrastructure has already implemented such pilot projects as Weigh-in-Motion system (WiM), an electronic ticket in the Ukrainian cities, an interactive map of bus routes, an extension of the EV charging stations, an electronic cabinet of the carrier, the electronic system in ports "Single window", improvement of the vehicle certification registry in accordance with EU practice, railway geo-information systems and much more.

"All these and many other infrastructure projects were included in the action plan and the master plan of the NTSU. The National Transport Model is also under the development. It will provide computer simulation of traffic flows for all types of transport ", - Yuriy Lavrenyuk said.

In turn, Farid Safarov, noted that the complex implementation of these innovations on the territory of Ukraine can be only achieved through the creation of an innovation center that would ensure the impact of digital transformation on all sectors of the economy. Investments in strategic digital facilities and infrastructure will lay the foundation for the future prosperity of Ukraine.
