November 27, 2019, Vladyslav Kryklii, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, a member of the official delegation of Ukraine led by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, is visiting the Republic of Lithuania.

During the visit, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine addressed the Twelfth Meeting of the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and the Republic of Lithuania. The central theme of the event was the restoration of the Donbas infrastructure.

During his speech, Vladyslav Kryklii emphasized that Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a clear task - to ensure the restoration of Donbas infrastructure.

“We want to show that the quality of life in Ukraine is better. In 2020, the Government will increase funding for the reconstruction of local roads of Donetsk and Luhansk region by 50%. We also raise funds from the EBRD and other international institutions to restore local roads. Donetsk and Luhansk regions will also participate in this project”, - said Vladyslav Kryklii.

The Minister of Infrastructure thanked the Republic of Lithuania for the consistent support of Ukraine: “I want to thank you, Mr. President, for your attention to the children of Donbas. The Republic of Lithuania is allocating EUR 1 million for the reconstruction of a school in Avdiivka, and the task of the Ministry of Infrastructure will be to make it to that school and subsequently to all schools, hospitals and other social sites in the Donbas. Recently more than 700 participants of the Investment Forum in Mariupol saw that we do not promise but do. The road of life of Mariupol - Zaporizhzhya, 134 km of which we built in 68 days, testifies to this. In addition to the reconstruction of roads, we also pay great attention to the development of railway connections with Mariupol and the ports of the Azov region. Unity begins with one way to each other. We will fight for every Ukrainian, and I thank you for your support in this fight,” - Vladyslav Kryklii emphasized.
