Vladyslav Kryklii, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and Deutsche Bahn AG
In the presence of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk, Vladyslav Kryklii, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine has signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine and Deutsche Bahn AG on further cooperation in the transport sector and development of state-owned enterprise Ukrzaliznytsia. The signing took place today, on January 22, 2020, in Davos during the Economic Forum.
The Minister of Infrastructure noted that the implementation of the experience of Deutsche Bahn AG in improving the efficiency of railway transportation should be useful in reforming railway transportation in Ukraine. “The development within the TEN-T Trans-European Transport Network is a strategic goal for Ukraine. An important component of the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU is the adaptation and implementation of EU directives related to railway transport. We expect that the new law on railway transport will be adopted by the Parliament in 2020. The experience of such company as Deutsche Bahn is important for its practical implementation, ” Vladyslav Kryklii said.
