Liberalization of international road transport and air connection between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova will lead to the development of markets of both countries - Yurii Lavreniuk
On April 12, 2018, within the framework of the working visit to Ukraine of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Pavel Philip, the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Moldova signed amendments to the Agreement on International Road Transport connection and the Agreement on the Liberalization of Air connection between countries. From the side of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yurii Lavreniuk and Chairman of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Bilchuk signed the Agreements.
Yurii Lavreniuk noted that the Agreement on International road transport connection between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova provides further liberalization of road transportation between countries. And the Agreement on Liberalization of Air connection will liberalize the air transport market, improves regulation of air transportation between the countries, eliminates the restrictions on the number of flights and will allow switch from the tariff approval procedure to the tariff monitoring procedure, restricting government interference in the process of forming tariffs.
"Liberalization of international road and air communication between Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova will lead to the rapid markets development of both countries. For the Ministry of Infrastructure, the liberalization of the transportation market was one of the priority tasks from the very beginning. Today we are on the one step closer to the realization of this goal. Liberalization – it is a free market with competitive rules of the game. This is the key to the successful development of the countries! ", - said Yurii Lavreniuk.
