Today, on September 20, 2019, Vladyslav Kryklii, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine together with Slawomir Novak, the head of the State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine have inspected the operation of the first 2 (from 6 planned) Weigh-in-Motion systems.
The Minister of Infrastructure noted that the recent legislative initiatives of the Verkhovna Rada can radically change the approach to weight and dimension control: «The introduction of WiM systems solves two key tasks: preserve roads from destruction by large vehicles and reduce corruption risks. We expect that over the next year and a half in Ukraine there will be about 100 such complexes. The complexes became possible to introduce with the participation and assistance of the World Bank for Reconstruction and Development and they are ready continue to support us».
