The Ukrainian-Spanish Joint Committee Meeting on International Road Transport was held

On 15 June, 2021 the Ukrainian-Spanish Joint Committee Meeting on International Road Transport was held online.

During the meeting the parties discussed issues of development of international road transport between Ukraine and the Kingdom of Spain, determination of the contingent of permits for the carriage of passengers and goods by road.

Delegations noted that the development of road transport is closely related to trade development between two countries.

As a result of the negotiations, it was agreed to increase the quota of universal entry permits for international road transport in 2021 by 1,000 pieces, which in turn is an increase of the existing quota by 45%. Also, it was set a preliminary quota for 2022 of 3,200 universal entry permits.

The two parties agreed to work on the introduction of a new type of entry permit namely "universal multiple" entry permit.

The parties also agreed to promote the further development of passenger traffic between the two countries on a regular basis.
