Today, on October 21, under the leadership of Deputy Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Yuriy Lavrenyuk and with the participation of representatives of relevant government authorities, certification bodies, official dealers of vehicles and members of the public were held an interagency meeting regarding discussion of issues of certification of wheeled vehicles, which have been made or produced in the United States.

Today there is a lack of a specific mechanism for the certification of vehicles originating or manufactured in the United States. This topic has caused a great resonance in American car importers, private and public organizations and the media.

During the interagency meeting, Yuriy Lavrenyuk noted, that the problem which arouses in the certification of vehicles manufactured in the US, is under the consideration in the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine: "The Ministry of Infrastructure is actively working to resolve this issue. All stakeholders should reach a consensus and put maximum effort in order to implement changes that will enable the provision of certification of automobiles manufactured in the United States of America and at the same time to prevent possible violations of the law, which can be consequences of accidents in the future."

During the meeting, was decided to establish working group to work out all the technical points and make changes to the order of the Ministry of Infrastructure No. 521 dated 17.08.2012, which subsequently resolve all issues of certifications vehicles manufactured in the United States.
