The team of the Ministry of Infrastructure took part in the seminar «Institutional Capacity Building and Transport Policy Analysis and Master Plan»
On February 27-28, 2021, the representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Reform Support Team, Ukrtransbezpeka, Ukravtodor, Ukrzaliznytsia and the Seaports Administration took part in a seminar on «Support to the Institutional Program and Analysis of Transport Policy and Master Plan». The event was organized within the framework of the EU-funded project «Assistance to the Ukrainian authorities for establishment of national transport model and master plan».
The purpose of the training was to present the terminology, concepts, methods and approaches, processes used in policy analysis for long-term transport planning by the management of the ministry and state enterprises. The event also covered best practices in policy analysis, transport master plan development and the use of transport models in the aviation sector and seaports.
Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Anatoliy Klimashevsky highlighted that the use of the National Transport Model is necessary for the preparation and analysis of the priority of investment infrastructure projects.
During the seminar, Adnan Rahman, project manager «Support to the Ukrainian authorities in developing a national transport model and master plan» presented to participants:

● Transport planning;
● Policy analysis structure;
● The role of models in planning support;
● Models of demand for air travel and demand for the use of ports for Ukraine;
● What does the European Green Course mean for the transport industry?
There are series of events planned within the project «Assistance to the Ukrainian authorities for establishment of national transport model and master plan» aimed at deepening practices and using it for development of employees of the sector.
