An electronic bill of lading has been introduced, - Vladyslav Kryklii

Starting today, the business can to use an electronic bill of lading. Such service is available on the new transport portal - e-transport.gov.ua. Vladyslav Kryklii, the Minister of Infrastructure, announced the above during a joint briefing with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

The briefing was also attended by Farid Safarov, Director General of the Directorate for Digital Infrastructure on Transport of the Ministry, and Volodymyr Nabokov, Director General of the Branch Center for Digitization and Cyber Security.

Electronic bill of lading is an electronic document certifying the right to carry out freight transportation. A pilot project has now been launched. A central database of electronic bill of lading has been built at the level of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

The Minister of Infrastructure noted that such decisions as the introduction of an electronic bill of lading accelerate the integration of Ukraine into a single transport network connecting Europe with Asia.  “The introduction of an electronic bill of lading provides acceleration and simplification of interaction between transport participants, prevents the substitution of illegitimate bill of lading, ensures the accounting of road freight transportation in a single system, provides a single access for various departments to all registries that regulate the process of road freight transportation,” Vladyslav Kryklii said.  

An electronic bill of lading features:

- accelerate the process of checking the carrier;

- receiving actual information from the necessary registers in real-time;

- single access of various departments to all registries that regulate the process of road freight transportations;

- automation of penalties;

- monitoring the activities of regulatory authorities.
